Sapcote Garden Centre’s Christmas shop is on Hinckley Road, Sapcote, Leicester LE9 4LG, two minutes from junction 2 of the M69, which makes it the Christmas shop that Leicester, Hinckley, Coventry, Nuneaton, Rugby and Lutterworth all reach in under half an hour. This page is the practical guide: what is there, how long the drive is from each town, when to come, and how to check stock before you set off.
What does the Christmas shop at Sapcote sell?
- Artificial Christmas trees: 65 trees from Premier, National Tree Company and Everlands, 80cm to 8ft, pre-lit and unlit, slim and full, green, snowy and fibre optic, most of them lit on display so you can compare them side by side. These are the one range we deliver, for £10 to mainland UK addresses.
- Lemax Christmas villages: the Lemax Wonderland, the largest Lemax display in Leicestershire, with 398 pieces across eight collections stocked and the animated pieces running. See the visitor guide.
- Christmas lights: 240 Premier LED sets: TreeBrights for the tree, ClusterBrights, SupaBrights and FlexiBrights for outdoors, icicle lights, in warm white, white, gold, multi-coloured and rainbow.
- Garlands and wreaths: plain, frosted and pre-lit for doors, stairs and mantelpieces.
- Decorations: baubles and tree decorations arranged by colour theme, tree toppers, tinsel, table decorations and candles.
- Gonks: one of the biggest gonk selections in the county, in every size.
- Real Christmas trees: Nordmann fir from 4.5ft to 9.5ft and potted trees, from late November, stored under cover, unnetted for you to inspect and netted for the car; delivery to Leicester postcodes available.
- Gifts, houseplants and the café: poinsettias and festive houseplants, gifts and cards, and the café for hot food, cakes and gluten-free options.

When is the Christmas shop open?
Monday to Saturday 8.30am to 5.30pm, Sunday 10am to 4pm (10am to 10.30am browsing only). The café serves 9am to 4pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 3.30pm on Sundays, last orders 15 minutes before closing. We are open on bank holidays and close only on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day and Easter Sunday. The Christmas shop opens in September, the Lemax Wonderland is fully lit from early October, and real trees arrive in late November; weekday mornings are the quietest time to browse.
Why come to a garden centre for Christmas rather than a retail park?
Because the trees and lights are lit, the Lemax village is running and the staff built the displays themselves. You can stand a 6ft and a 7ft tree side by side, see how warm white looks against gold, and get an honest answer on how many lights a tree needs. On price, we benchmark our artificial trees against the national chains and online specialists every season and are the same price or cheaper on most lines, and our Lemax buildings are priced below Lemax’s recommended price with 3-for-2 on figurines and accessories. Independent reviews of the Christmas shop are on Google, Facebook and Tripadvisor.
Can I check stock before I travel?
Yes. Every artificial tree, light set, Lemax piece and garland is online with live stock and prices, so search for the line you want and, if it shows in stock, it is on the shelf. Trees can be bought online for delivery or collection; everything else is sold in store. Phone 01455 274049 to reserve a specific item.
