What outdoor Christmas lights does Sapcote Garden Centre sell?
Every set on this page is rated for outdoor use and runs at low voltage from a transformer that stays indoors or in a weatherproof box. Icicle lights hang in drops from a horizontal wire and are measured by lit length, so measure the run of gutter first; SupaBrights and UltraBright are long straight strings of bright LEDs for fences, railings and garden trees; FlexiBrights are on a flexible wire for porches, door frames and window surrounds.
Colours run from warm white and bright white to multi-colour, rainbow, gold and vintage gold, and the big 3,000 and 5,000 LED sets will dress a whole house front. All are multi-action with a timer.
Outdoor Christmas lights: your questions answered
How do I know how many outdoor lights I need?
Measure the run you want to light, the gutter, the fence, the porch, and match it to the lit length on the product page. For a garden tree, use the same 100-LEDs-per-foot rule as an indoor tree.
Where does the transformer go?
Indoors, or in a weatherproof box outside. Only the low-voltage light string should be out in the weather; never run the mains lead through a closed window where it can be crushed.
Do your outdoor lights have timers?
Yes. The Premier sets are multi-action with a built-in timer, so they come on at dusk for eight hours and switch off by themselves.
