Visiting the Lemax Wonderland at Sapcote Garden Centre: what to expect in 2026
The Lemax Wonderland at Sapcote Garden Centre is the largest Lemax Christmas village display in Leicestershire: tiered scenes with lighted buildings, animated pieces and Sights & Sounds scenes from all eight Lemax collections running on the shop floor, with the full range of 398 pieces stocked alongside it. It opened for the 2026 season in early October and runs until Christmas. Entry is free, parking is free, the café is next door, and we are two minutes from junction 2 of the M69 on Hinckley Road, Sapcote, Leicester LE9 4LG. Here is everything a visitor needs to know.
What is the Lemax Wonderland?
It is the Lemax department of our Christmas shop, built each autumn as a working village rather than a wall of boxes. The display is laid out on raised, snow-covered tiers, zoned by collection and labelled, so a piece you have seen online can be found lit and running: Caddington Village’s snowy English high street, the Vail Village ski lodges, Santa’s Wonderland at the North Pole, the Carnival fairground rides, Harvest Crossing’s farm, and the smaller Sugar ‘N’ Spice, Plymouth Corners and Jukebox Junction themes. The animated Sights & Sounds pieces and Carnival rides are switched on, so you can hear the music and see the motion before you decide. Beside the display the shelves carry every piece we stock, boxed, with the current offers marked. In 2026 we have more new Lemax pieces than in any previous year, including buildings we have never stocked before.
When is the Lemax display open in 2026?
The Lemax Wonderland opened at the start of October 2026 and stays up until Christmas Eve. It is open whenever the garden centre is: Monday to Saturday 8.30am to 5.30pm and Sunday 10am to 4pm (Sunday 10am to 10.30am is browsing only). We are open bank holidays and close only on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day and Easter Sunday. The quietest times to see the display are weekday mornings; Saturday afternoons and the last two weekends of November are the busiest.
What Lemax offers are on in 2026?
Two things. First, 232 of our 398 Lemax lines are priced below Lemax’s recommended retail price, including 84 of the 85 lighted buildings (a quarter off on average: the Tannenbaum Christmas Shoppe is £25 against an RRP of £32.99, Hoffman’s Brat House £59 against £95.99) and every Sights & Sounds scene, table piece and facade. Second, the offers: 3-for-2 on 122 lines covering the figurines, hanging accessories and some trees, and multi-buy savings on 40 selected lighted buildings on top of the reduced price. The offers are marked on the shelf edge and shown on each product online. Prices run from £1.99 for a bristle tree and £2.99 for a figurine to £159.99 for the largest animated Carnival ride; a lighted building is typically £25 to £45. Full detail in our Lemax sale and offers guide.
Can I check a piece is in stock before I travel?
Yes. The whole Lemax range is listed online with live stock, prices and offers, and you can filter it by collection, product type (lighted buildings, Sights & Sounds, figurines, table pieces, accessories, trees, landscaping), power source and offer. Lemax is sold in store rather than delivered, so if a piece shows in stock it is on the shelf. For something specific, phone 01455 274049 and we will put it aside.

What else is in the Christmas shop?
The Lemax Wonderland sits inside what is, by floor area, the biggest Christmas department we have ever built: artificial Christmas trees from Premier, National Tree Company and Everlands lit on display, Premier LED lights running on the display trees, garlands and wreaths, decorations by colour theme, gonks, gifts, and real cut Nordmann fir trees from late November. The café serves hot food, cakes and gluten-free options from 9am to 4pm (10am to 3.30pm on Sundays), with last orders 15 minutes before closing.
Help with planning a village
Our Christmas team build the display every year and spend the season helping customers plan layouts, choose between adaptor and battery pieces and work out how many adaptors a village needs. If you are starting from scratch, read our guides to the Lemax collections, setting up and displaying a village and powering it, then come and see the pieces running.
